On my Debian-Installation I didn't find the file Xclients instead of this I changed the file /etc/X11/wdm/wdm.config. I had to comment out the following line:

    auto-update-wmlist

to

    # auto-update-wmlist

As a next step I changed the following line in the file /etc/X11/wdm/wdm-config: (may look different in other installations)

    DisplayManager*wdmWm:    default:kwin:startkde:twm

to

    DisplayManager*wdmWm:    default:kwin:startkde:twm:fluxbox

Perhaps you can add these lines to the main article?
